DAY 1

The wind didn’t betray the expectations on the first day of races of the Rolex Capri Sailing Week, reserved to maxis with 22 yachts on the starting line.

Jethou, the 77 ft maxi owned by Sir Peter Ogden,  won both races of the maxi Racer class. Following on the first race was Caol Ila R owned by Alex Shaerer, and then Supernikka (_Roberto Lacorte). The second race resulted in the inversion of these two yachts  behind Jethou.

Therefore the provisional ranking of the racer class has Jethou leading with 2 points, followed by Supernikka and Caol Ila R tied in second place with 5 points.

Oscar 3 and Wallino won the races of the Racer Cruiser Class. In the first race the Mylius 65 owned by Aldo Parisotto led the race over Fra Diavolo (vincenzo Addessi) and Lorina 1895 (Jean Pierre Bargion). In the second race Wallino, the Wally 60 owned by Benoit De Froidmont, was followed by Lorina 1895 and Oscar 3.

The final provisional ranking of the Racer Cruiser class is led by Oscar 3 with 4 point, followed by Wallino and Lorina 1895 tied at 5 points.

Plys Play , the Swan 80 owned by Vincente Torres Garcia , and Rosbeg, the Swan 651 owned by Riccdardo Pavoncelli won respectively the two races in the Cruiser class.  H20 , the Vallicelli 78 owned by Riccardo De Michele followed in both races.

The provisional ranking is lead by Rosbeg and Plys Play with 3 points each, followed by H20 in third position with 6 points.
