The cheerful, spectacular Price-giving ceremony in the Piazzetta of Capri, crowded with tourists and sailors, concluded the 2018 Rolex Capri Sailing Week which saw more than a thousand sailors and 121 boats in the regatta.
CNT – In ORC-A Group Freccia Rossa is first in the Race division, while Ulika of Stefano Masi (RCC Tevere e Remo) won in the Cruising Class 0, Chestress 3 of Ghislanzoni (YC Italiano) in the Cruising Class 1 and Nicola De Gemmis’s Morgan IV won the Cruising Class 2.
In ORC-B Group X-Real (Il Portodimare) won in Class 3 and Fabio Cosentino’s Nereis is in the second place. In Class 4 the Neapolitan yacht Suakin II of Francesco Golia (RYCC Savoia) is in the first place ( 5° overall).
MYLIUS – Final thrilling with three boats in the standings on equal points, but today Ars Una (Biscarini-Rocchi) won the last race and the Mylius Cup, followed by Aldo Parisiotto’s Oscar 3 and Vincenzo Addessi’s Frà Diavolo.
MAXI – All confirmed even after the last race of the Maxi yachts, with the final victory of Pepe Cannonball of the owner Dario Ferrari (YC Costa Smeralda) despite the victory of the day of Caol Ila R (YCCS), of the Londoner Alex Shaerer, who closes in second place; third is Jethou of the English baronet Sir Peter Ogden.
Among the racer/cruiser the Roberto Lacorte’s Supernikka is firmly in first place in the final ranking, followed by Lorina 1895, the Swan 601 of Jean Pierre Barjon (YC De France); in third position is Spectre of Peter Dubens (Royal Thames Yacht Club).
